This engine is surprisingly powerful... I installed it on a Extreme Fight 74" Slick 580 with a Falcon 20x7 carbon fiber prop... I'm usually a DA guy, but have to say, I would recommend this engine to friends.. I did have VV install the Bowman ring, I think It makes for better compression... My Slick Is under 10 LB.. and this little guy is more then enough power.... Runs and starts perfectly, all I had to do is open up the low needle 1/2 and the high 1/4 turn...
I am flying an older 1/4 scale GP 300 and it is heavy and tough. This pulls it to unlimited vertical with a 18x8 Zoar going to try the 19x8 Falcon I have had sitting for 2 years and see how it acts.
This little 30cc is as smooth as they come, throttle response excellent, starts easy. Highly recommend this motor for any 30 size plane.
I have a Chip Hyde Tunnel Vision that weighs 13.6lbs without fuel with a DLE 30 and a Zoar 19 3DA prop and it's the PERFECT combination. Lots of power. I am at 459 feet elevation.
