- Tom has upgraded the DLE 55cc (his favorite engine) to give it more power and to be more efficient. He has changed the cylinder to accept two spark plugs and is using a twin cylinder ignition. Converting this engine to a Hemispherical type engine gave it much more power. A Bowman piston ring has been installed and the ring end gap has been set to Tom's specification. He also did some internal work and is not releasing that information. We could call this a Hemi engine but Tom is calling it "Outlaw 55"!Recommended Propeller 23x8This engine will run hotter so make sure you account for that. This engine will be a good fit for the new 55cc Airplanes from Extreme Flight and Northwest RC.

Super 55
This engine is better than any 55 I have ever owned.
And I had quite a few .
Has power of a 60cc no problem.

Awesome engine!
I recently purchased this engine to replace the dle55ra I previously had on my hanger 9 timber110. I’ve got a couple flights on it now and am loving it! It runs great, havnt had to do any tuning what so ever.
